I had been in a newsroom working as a video journalist when I started getting more responsibilities and bigger assignments. That’s when I started to realize there was still a whole lot about journalism that I could benefit from learning about outside of the pressures of a job. The AJO program gave me the confidence I needed to move forward in my career as a video producer and become a stronger team player in the newsroom. I know, looking ahead, that my network from AJO will continue to be strong and supportive.
