Lisa Bannon is a veteran writer, reporter, editor and newsroom manager with more than three decades of journalism experience in the U.S. and Europe. She spent 31 at the Wall Street Journal as a foreign correspondent, senior writer, bureau chief, page one editor and coverage chief. Based over the years in Ohio, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles and now New York, she has covered a wide range of topics including European economic integration, the historic “mani pulite” corruption investigations in Italy and the crackdown on the Sicilian mafia. In Los Angeles, she covered the entertainment industry, rising class and racial tensions and escapades of the vainglorious, including an arch rivalry of eyebrow pluckers in Beverly Hills. Most recently she wrote about unethical business practices in higher education and the impact of artificial intelligence on human agency. She specializes in long-form feature writing and is currently writing a memoir.
