Michael de Yoanna
Michael de Yoanna is editor in chief of Colorado Community Media, a newsroom that creates 80-100 hyperlocal news stories a week for a large online audience as well as for two dozen newspapers. He has extensive experience as an investigative reporter and editor and holds numerous national awards for his work, including two Edward R. Murrows, a Columbia-duPont Silver Baton, the Society of Professional Journalists’ Sigma Delta Chi Award, and The Associated Press Television Radio Association’s Best Investigation honor, among others. He also holds dozens more regional and local awards. Prior to CCM, Michael worked as a public radio news director, investigative reporter and producer. He got his start as a daily newspaper reporter two decades ago.
