Michelle Eigenheer

Michelle worked as a digital editor for a city magazine before enrolling in the AJO program. After graduation she has worked in podcast production, ultimately receiving a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women to create the podcast “From Here,” a series that will explore AAPI/APIDA stories from the South and rural Midwest. She also recently joined THE GOLDENROD, a project supported by Substack Local, as a food and beverage labor reporter.

AJO helped elevate my storytelling and investigative skills, allowing me to contextualize local reporting for larger audiences. The program also gave me the opportunity to write and publish thoughtful and relatable essays on everything from what we eat to how we spend our free time.”
