AJO Class of 2022
Before enrolling in NYU’s American Journalism Online program, I was a full-time arts writer at a highly-ranked art school in Richmond, Virginia. Interviewing artists and covering the scene in town was such a thrill that I wanted to learn how I could reach an even wider audience. AJO taught me how to be a much more purposeful and well-researched reporter, a mindful editor, and a steward for the profession. After graduating, I joined an investigative journalism podcast team and now serve as the editor-in-chief of the arts and culture newspaper C-VILLE Weekly in Charlottesville, Va. As an art school undergrad, I wanted a proper and sophisticated foundation in journalism for my graduate degree; NYU and AJO absolutely provided that.”
