Victoria Cavaliere has worked as a reporter and editor in South Africa, Argentina and the East and West Coasts of the United States. She’s currently the weekend business news editor at Business Insider, helping to shape coverage and edit spot news and feature stories on everything from the post-pandemic economic recovery to cryptocurrencies, publicly traded companies and equities markets. Prior, she was a senior editor at CNN Business, and was lead editor on a story about the overnight lending markets that won a 2019 award from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW). She also spent several years as a reporter at Reuters, covering everything from courts to local politics to natural disasters, including the New Jersey “Bridgegate” scandal and historic wildfires across California and the Pacific Northwest. Originally from Colorado, she earned a bachelor’s degree in English and history from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s degree in international journalism from the University of Southern California. She splits her time between Brooklyn and Connecticut.
