The Annual Dorothy Nelkin Lecture in Science & Society assesses the impact of scientific research on issues of importance to social justice and policy. This year’s speaker, Prof. Ruha Benjamin of African American Studies at Princeton University, will speak on “the emperor’s new genes”, analyzing exclusions of people of color from the research/ benefits of genomic and epigenomic research. Reception to follow the lecture.
