The election of Donald Trump has come with a broad attack on the press and on the freedom of political expression. What are likely to be the challenges to the First Amendment going forward, and how does America’s history of robust dissent support the protection of speech and press today? The panel will be discussed in conjunction with two new books: Stephen Solomon’s Revolutionary Dissent and Floyd Abrams’ The Soul of the First Amendment.
