Join us for a film screening and conversation with Assia Boundaoui, the award-winning creator of The Feeling of Being Watched. The documentary describes Boundaoui’s investigation of the FBI surveillance of the families, mosques and businesses in her Muslim-American community. The film is a powerful exploration of the bias in law enforcement and the power of investigative journalism.
Assia Boundaoui won a 2020 Livingston Award and the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, won the jury prize for Best Documentary at the Woodstock Film Festival and was nationally broadcast on PBS “POV.” She was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” and her work has been the recipient of support from the Ford Foundation, International Documentary Association, San Francisco Film Society, Impact Partners, Firelight Media and FRONTLINE among others.
