Speakers
Freelance science journalist Tara Haelle frequently speaks and writes about ethical dilemmas in journalism. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, National Geographic, Texas Monthly, NPR, the Washington Post and Scientific American, among other publications.
Naseem Miller is a senior editor at The Journalist’s Resource, a project of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University. A former reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, she helped cover the Pulse mass shooting tragedy and later co-started the Journalists Covering Trauma Facebook group.
Moderator Robin Lloyd a freelance writer and editor, as well as a contributing editor at Scientific American. A visiting scholar at the Carter Institute of Journalism, she is also the president of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing.
Kavli Conversations are hosted by NYU’s Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program with support from the Kavli Foundation. Events are open to the public. Online livestream will begin at 6:30pm ET.
