Wow! It’s the last of our intensive 10 day- long program. It has definitely been a fun, productive week and I believe I am an official reporter for the Spectrum. During the beginning, I did not know what to expect…now I can hit the streets of any city. As long as I have this legitimate press pass from the Spectrum, I can whip out my microphone and we’ll have a story. I’ve been living and learning with 14 other teenagers and it’s been a great experience.
As I travel back to Long Island, I look forward to the rest of my summer; however, I will remember this experience at UJW. Good luck to everyone in Urban Journalism and maybe we will meet up at The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal one day.
