Prerequisites: Journalistic Inquiry JOUR-UA 101
Writing for Reporters is a course for journalists with a strong reporting foundation who wish to improve their ability to communicate that reporting with impact. The class is a mix of workshop and reading journalists who excel at both reporting and writing, including Elizabeth Kolbert, Kathryn Schultz, Ian Frazier and James Baldwin.
Department permission required to enroll. To be considered for this class, please submit a 1,000-word essay on why you want to be in this course. You must submit your essay no later than Sunday, November 17.
Notes: Counts as an elective for the journalism major and both journalism minors.
