Specialized Reporting: Advanced Multimedia – Video

Day & Time: Wed | 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Location: 20 Cooper Square, Rm 652

Prerequisite: Some video production experience required.

This advanced journalism course will offer the opportunity for students, working individually or in teams, to produce engaging, compelling multimedia journalism for publication on digital and social platforms.

Over the course of the fall semester, students will move from pitch to publication, creating original multimedia stories that combine video, audio, photography, and/or text. These stories will be produced for publication in New York media outlets, including Schneps Media and amNewYork.

Designed for individuals with basic video and audio production skills and solid news judgment, the course focuses on sharpening students multimedia reporting and editing skills with an emphasis on video.
