NYU Journalism Names Yi-Ling Liu Winner of 2019 Matthew Power Literary Reporting Award
Yi-Ling Liu, 2019 Matthew Power Literary Reporting Award winner
The Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute has named Yi-Ling Liu, a Beijing-based freelance writer who has written for the Economist and the Guardian, the winner of its fifth Matthew Power Literary Reporting Award.
Liu will write about social media in China. Runner-up Clapp will report on politics and crime in the Balkans.
