Taking advantage of long hours of daylight and using New York City as an urban learning lab, Photojournalism at NYU this summer will make you a more creative, adventurous and imaginative image maker.
Whether you use a mobile device or an expensive digital single lens reflex, you’ll improve your way of thinking, of seeing and capturing moments 1/500th of a second at a time.
You’ll learn about news photography, how to take great portraits, how to color correct your feature images and the recipe for a great photo story.
There will be photo assignments every week as part of class, and you will finish the summer semester with a wonderful portfolio to show a potential employer.
Notes:
Counts as an elective for the journalism major and both journalism minors.
