NewsDoc alum Shuhao Tse wins 2022 Student Academy Award for his documentary “Found”
Shuhao Tse, a NewsDoc alum, won the Gold Medal at the 2022 Student Academy Award for his documentary “Found.” His thesis film tells the story of Tang, whose son was stolen when the child was three. Twelve years later, the Chinese police found his son, but any joy was trapped by a new reality. “Found” also won The Special Jury Prize and the 2022 Yugo BAFTA Student Awards. He is the eighth NewsDoc student to win a Student Academy Award. The ceremony will take place on October 20.
