Internships & Jobs

NYU Journalism’s own Career Services team helps you succeed in the professional world of news media. Our experienced staff works one-on-one with students to review resumes, cover letters and broadcast reels, and secure quality, experience-building internships and jobs.

We also host dozens of exciting industry events, including workshops, recruiter info sessions and our annual journalism-only career fair, where NYU students have the chance to connect with hiring managers and prominent journalists (many of whom are NYU alums) from some of the top news organizations around the world.

Often — as a direct result of these networking opportunities and strong contacts — NYU journalism students have landed jobs and internships at places like: ABC News (20/20, Nightline, World News with Diane Sawyer, etc.), Al Jazeera AmericaAssociated PressBBC.comBleacher ReportBloombergCBS News (60 Minutes, 48 Hours, etc.)CNN (Amanpour, Documentary Unit, New York News Desk, UN, etc.), The Documentary GroupFusionThe Futuro Media GroupHuffington Post and Huffington Post LiveNBC News (Dateline, NBCNews.com, Today Show, etc.), NY1NYMag.comNew York Times (Metro Desk, NYT Magazine, Video, etc.), PBSProPublicaQuartzReutersSlateStoryhunterStoryville FilmsTime Inc., UnivisionUs WeeklyVICE/HBOVillage Voice Media GroupWall Street Journal/WSJLiveWNYCand various production companies and TV affiliates across the country.
